1. Downloading the app
Download the BloomTM app from the App Store or Google Play Store by searching for "Bloom Card" and follow the installation steps.
2. Inscription & Activation
· To create an account, you will be required to provide the following information: name, email, phone number, and date of birth. The majority is required to access Bloom's services.
· **Phone Number Verification
**An OTP (One-Time Password) code is sent to your phone number for verification. Enter this code to validate your number.
· **Creating a Password and Biometrics Option
**Create a secure 4 to 6 digit password. You can also enable biometric recognition for added security during your logins and transactions.
· **KYC (Know Your Customer) VerificationFor
** full activation of your account, you will need to complete a KYC verification by taking a photo of your ID and a selfie to confirm your identity. This step becomes mandatory if you want to load more than 200,000 XOF on your card.
· **Acceptance of the Terms of Subscription
**The activation of your account requires the acceptance of the terms of subscription.
3. Card purchase
- BloomTM eGift Card : Choose your virtual Mastercard gift card and set the amount to top up.
- BloomTM Prepaid Card : Select a physical (at a cost of 5000 F) or digital (free) prepaid card.
- BloomTM Store Card : Opt for a Mastercard gift card reserved for a specific partner store.
4. Card Personalization
- BloomTM eGift Card and Bloom Store Card : Personalize your card with specific images, photos, message, and designs, or choose from pre-made templates.
- BloomTM Prepaid Card : Customization options for physical cards are limited to a few predefined templates.
5. Bulk Purchase Option
For events such as birthdays, you can use the group purchase option, allowing other participants to be invited by the initiator of the purchase to share the full amount of the card.
6. Payment of cards
Choose your preferred payment method (credit card, mobile money, etc.). Mobile money top-ups may incur an additional fee of 1% to 1.5%. The fee for BloomTM gift cards varies between 3% and 5% of their value.
7. Sending and receiving cards
- For a recipient who already has the BloomTM app: The card is immediately available in their app wallet, with an instant notification informing them of the receipt.
- For a recipient who does not have the app : An email or WhatsApp notification prompts them to download the Bloom app. Once installed and the account created, the card will automatically appear in his wallet.
8. Use of Cards
- BloomTM eGift Card and Bloom Store Card : Cards can be used for online payments with 3DS authentication for enhanced security or in-store via contactless payments or code scan.
- BloomTM Prepaid Card : These Mastercard cards can be used online (with 3DS to secure transactions) or in-store via contactless payments or by scanning a code.
9. Management and monitoring
The app's wallet allows you to track your transactions, check your balance, manage your active cards, and block or unblock them when needed. You'll also receive notifications for each event, such as your card activation or transactions.
